If you have been reading earlier articles on Rules Education, you may remember we covered endangerment before in Article 3.4. Article 5.5 covers dangerous behavior specifically on the bicycle.  Erratic movements that may cause others to crash, riding

in an oncoming traffic lane, may cause the participant to be penalized.  There is no time penalty for endangerment, only disqualification. So be safe!

Here's the rule:

5.5 Endangerment. No cyclist shall endanger himself or another participant. Any cyclist who intentionally presents a danger to any participant or who, in the judgment of the Head Referee, appears to present a danger to any participant shall be disqualified.
